Title - Group

Initial Ideas

Obvious approach of audification the data (3 rythms alpha, beta, theta)

Other approach worth considering:

  • filter data and do parameter mapping
  • triggers on the maxima
  • Use ratio / difference of channels to compare
  • try derivatives 1nd/2nd order
  • zero-crossings as simpler alternative

Experimenting

straight forward audification (rather disappointing... sounds like random noise)

Approach

Filtering alpha -> Slope -> Zero Crossings -> Trigger -> Resonator

Problems with the filters - low frequencies don't work well enough -> re-started coding from scratch

left / right separation

a different approach would be pitch mapping

Evaluation

we addressed only the correlation of the o1/o2 channels.

What's next?

incorporating the amplitude to have more information represented

Pre-processing / Filtering

channel tagging

More from the ideas list...
