Signal Processing and Speech Communication Laboratory

The Signal Processing and Speech Communication Laboratory (SPSC Lab) is a research & education (R&E) centre in nonlinear signal processing methods, algorithm engineering, and applications in speech communication and Internet technologies. It has been founded by Prof. Gernot Kubin in September 2000. Until January 2004, the SPSC Lab was a member of the Department of Communications and Wave Propagation. Since 2004, it is a new department at the University of Technology (TU Graz) in Graz, Austria.

Motivation

Our motivation to participate in SonEnvir is given by the variety of data sets we are dealing with for which we are in need of new methods for analysis and representation. Problem domains we investigate in SonEnvir include electro-magnetic wave propagation (multi-path propagation) in mobile applications and signal classification problems (e.g. non-deterministic chaos).
