Description of all sound examples

The first idea was listening to all 8424 locations, and take snapshots of a single day. The days chosen as samples were January 5, 15, and 25, of years 1 and 2.

The data property we wanted to listen to was the ratio of the rainfall value for one day, compared to the average for that month. this ratio was mapped to the resonance value of a bandpass filter, which was filtering a noise source.

All 8424 stations are scanned in north/south collumns, moving from west to east.

Year 1980

Jan 15: janAllStations1_15.mp3

Jan 25: janAllStations1_25.mp3

Year 1981

Jan 05: janAllStations2_5.mp3

Jan 15: janAllStations2_15.mp3

Jan 25: janAllStations2_25.mp3

For comparison, we generated two sounds for day 5 and day 25, year 1 only, for only 190 stations, and much slower:
