Description of all sounds

A guide to all sound examples.

Sound examples 1 - 6 all use one channel at a time. They all play one week of data once in 3.5 seconds, so roughly, a day equals 0.5 seconds. The carrier sound is a filtered sawtooth, and power data are mapped to both amplitude and frequency.

daily repetition is easy to hear, day 5 has a higher peak (christmas day), days 6 and 7 ( dec 25/26) are lower.

Sound example 1 - Total

daily repetition, big peak on day 5, lower peaks and different shapes on days 6, 7.

Sound example 2 - Households

day 1-4 very similar, 5-7 much lower - trade is closed for holidays.

TeamC_Channel3.mp3

Sound example 3 - Trade

almost identical days.

TeamC_Channel4.mp3

Sound example 4 - Agriculture

almost identical days.

TeamC_Channel5.mp3

Sound example 5 - Heating_WarmWater

toggles between two states, almost identical days. This seems to be mainly street lighting at night.

TeamC_Channel6.mp3

Sound example 6 - Mobility_Lighting

different filter settings, all individual channels simultaneously, panned from left to right.

slower time scale: ca 9 seconds for a week, so ca 1.2 seconds per day; this allows for more detail than the faster individual sounds.
